Erin Evke is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering, advised under Prof. Max Stein. She graduated with her B.S. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In her free time, she likes running, playing soccer, and traveling.
Kathleen is a Ph.D. student in Materials Science and Engineering, and her research focuses on development of mechanisms governing metallic materials behavior. She received her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2013.
Alyssa DeSimone is a PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering, advised by Dr. Ann Jeffers. Her research is focused on the effect of fire on structures. She received her bachelor's degree from The College of New Jersey and is originally from Flemington, NJ. In her free time Alyssa enjoys spending time with friends, baking and being outside.
I'm a second year masters student in Biomedical Engineering. I work in the Rehabilitation Biomechanics Lab and my research interests include powered prosthesis and rehabilitation.
Luisa is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on solar fuel research in TREE Lab. She got her B.S. in 2016 in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT, and is originally from New York City. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, traveling, and drinking tea.
Leanne is a PhD student in Aerospace Engineering. As a member of the Plasmadynamics and Electrical Propulsion Laboratory, she researches cross-channel interactions in nested Hall thrusters. She is from Seattle, WA, and received her B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington. In her free time, she enjoys playing cards, embroidering, and caboozing.
Izzy is a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering and studies the mechanical properties and behavior of biological materials. She's originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and got her bachelor's degree from Brown University in 2017. She enjoys swimming, sewing, eating ice cream, and taking naps outside.

Christina is a PhD student in biomedical engineering. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University in 2018. Her current research focuses on performance of upper limb prostheses and surgical intervention for better prosthetic control. Christina is originally from Korea but grew up in Singapore.
Raha is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biomaterials and Regenerative Engineering. She is originally from Oregon and went to Oregon State University for undergrad. She enjoys rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, playing board games, and binge-watching tv shows in her spare time.
Rawan Almallahi is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering. She received her B.S. degree in chemical engineering form the University of Houston. Rawan enjoys participating in outreach events to encourage the younger generation to pursue STEM-related fields and to get involved in research. In her free time, Rawan enjoys hiking, taking photos, and reading.

Connie is a mechanical engineering Ph.D student focusing on heat transfer coupled with neural engineering. A Los Angeles native, she graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley, California in 2017. She enjoys reading, watching movies with friends, playing the violin, and eating tasty food.
Kanchan Swaroop is in her second year of a dual master's program in Environmental Engineering and Natural Resources and Environment. She earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2013. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, being in nature, and watching Michigan sports.

Kelsey Steinke is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on studying nanowire interfaces in carbon, glass and Kevlar composites. She got her bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire in Materials Science and is originally from Edgar, Wisconsin. She enjoys participating in outreach activities and helping kids learn about STEM. In her free time she enjoys hanging out friends, playing sports, DIY projects and traveling.
Ava is a PhD biomedical engineering student. She is from New Mexico and received her B.S. in chemical engineering with a minor in mathematics from the University of New Mexico. During her spare time, she enjoys working out, volunteering, watching movies and skiing.
Keara is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on the comparison of colloids exhibiting active motion – motion that mimics motion in nature, i.e. flocks of birds, bacterial colonies, and swarms of fish. She got her BS in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University and is originally from Loveland, OH. Aside from engineering, she enjoys being outdoors, cycling, and baking.
Sabrina is a master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering focused on Robotics. They work in the Interaction and Collaboration Lab under Dr. Jessie Yang studying human-robot interaction. They completed their Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University in 2017. Their interests include acrylic painting, graphite drawings, and any activity with their dog.
