Shannon is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering. As a member of the Daly Design and Engineering Education Research Group, her research focuses on front-end design practices, specifically creativity in engineering, idea generation, and the development of divergent. She is from Pasadena, MD, and received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hammocking, kayaking, binge watching tv, and listening to musicals.
Connie is a Mechanical Engineering Ph.D student focusing on heat transfer coupled with neural engineering. A Los Angeles native, she graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley, California in 2017. She enjoys reading, watching movies with friends, playing the violin, and eating tasty food.
Charlotte is a Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering. She is studying the self-assembly of nanoparticles with computational simulations. She enjoys reading and traveling in her spare time.
Courtney is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering, advised by Dr. Andre Boehman with a focus on diesel engines fueled with alternative fuels. She grew up in Haverhill, MA, and received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Merrimack College in 2019 with minors in mathematics and business management. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking, learning new things, and buying too many plants.
Vibhavari is a second year Masters student in Biomedical Engineering. She works in the Rehabilitation Biomechanics Lab and her research interests include powered prosthesis and rehabilitation.
Lauren Cooper is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering, working on creating novel setups for few-cycle pulses in fiber lasers. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Western Kentucky University in 2019. In her free time, Lauren enjoys cooking, running, reading the classics, and learning Russian.

Emily Bao is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on Natural Language Processing. She received her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan with a minor in Biology in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys biking, taking walks, and playing the piano.
Christina is a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Northwestern University in 2018. Her current research focuses on performance of upper limb prostheses and surgical intervention for better prosthetic control. Christina is originally from Korea but grew up in Singapore.
Raha is pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biomaterials and Regenerative Engineering. She is originally from Oregon and went to Oregon State University for undergrad. She enjoys rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, playing board games, and binge-watching tv shows in her spare time.

Kelley received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2017 and worked in the consumer appliance industry for two years before starting grad school. In her free time, Kelley enjoys walking around parks, reading books, and practicing yoga.

Yingxiao Zhang is a Ph.D. student in Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering, studying biosphere-atmosphere interactions and the effects of climate change. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China. In her free time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities, eating good food, and hanging out with friends.
Behnoush is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering, advised by Prof. Najafi. Her research is focused on the design and fabrication of neural probes, which are ultra-fine needles implanted in the brain to communicate with the brain cells. She received her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree both from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. She enjoys drawing and watercolor painting, reading, watching movies, doing yoga, and running.
Cecelia is a Ph.D. student in Macromolecular Science and Engineering. She is studying polymer design for soft robotics in the Pena-Francesch lab. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Cecelia received her BS in Chemistry from the University of St. Thomas, MN. In her free time, she enjoys rowing, camping, baking, and embroidering.
